Final Countdown

I've said this before and been wrong, but this time I really think it's the end of my run in the therealljidol writing contest. The margin between me and my competitor currently stands at 16 in her favor, which seems pretty nigh insurmountable.

However, the polls are still open until 8 p.m. EDT tonight, so I suppose anything can happen. If you haven't already, please cast your vote in the poll below.

Poll #1372620 LJ Idol, Season Five – Week Twenty-Six Run-Off: Making Fire
This poll is closed.

The Ballot:

60(53.1%)
43(38.1%)

You do need to be a community member to vote. Details on joining a LJ community are available at this FAQ page. So if you haven't already, go to this page and join the community (you don't need to add it to your Friends page if you prefer not to). Then either return to this entry and vote or go to this link and do so. Your vote will count from either location.

Thanks!

I'm going to sing the doom song now

Maybe it's just because I'm tired, but I can't get "The Doom Song" from Invader Zim out of my head right now (video here for those who must see it).

::giggle::

I'm still getting spanked in the run-off:

Poll #1372620 LJ Idol, Season Five – Week Twenty-Six Run-Off: Making Fire
This poll is closed.

The Ballot:

60(53.1%)
43(38.1%)

An interesting aspect of the vote: the percentages add up to 109.2 percent, meaning that 9.2 percent of the voters (roughly 11) voted for BOTH of us. Not that it matters: even with them, I'd still be trailing by 5.

Note to self: When the topic is "Making Fire," some ACTUAL fire should probably appear in the piece, kthnx.

Anyway, you still have until 8 p.m. EDT to vote. And yes, you do need to join the community to vote (though you don't have to add it to your friends list, if you don't want). Details on how to join are in my earlier post. Yada, yada, yada.

Well, I'm going to take a nap and then print out a list of what I've written this season so I can figure out what I want to say in my good-bye post.

"Doom, doom, doom, doom-doom, doom!"
