Photos and Music

Sunday, I was still at my parents, but The Gryphon had to head home in order to make it to work on Monday. Since I had my annual eye exam Monday morning, with a Central Pennsylvania doctor, I had to stick around.

We had looked at bus schedules and figured out that he could catch the bus to Philly from the local college town. So after spending a morning working on the essays section of Wild Violet, I drove him to the bus stop, where we get him a ticket and had lunch at a nice deli. We killed time, then, browsing shop windows and getting some coffee in a coffee shop.

When his bus came, I gave him a kiss good-bye and made sure he got on it safely. Then I drove back to Dad's place. The plan, arranged with Mom the night before, was to get together to drive to a nearby state park we'd never visited.

Notes from Inside the Whirlwind

Lately, I've been extremely busy, what with the countdown clicking ever closer to Otakon, for which I am the head of Press Relations.

Not only that, but I'm also striving to get the Summer issue of Wild Violet online, hopefully before Otakon, which is ambitious but possible.

That means I have had very little time to keep up on all the wonderful entries you've been writing. If you've written something within the past couple weeks that you want me to read right away, please link to it in the comments. Otherwise, I will slowly but surely make my way through the backlog!

Camera-Phone Diet - Tuesday, June 23

Until I reach my goal of losing 15 pounds (which will put me where I was on my wedding day), I'm doing something called the "Camera-Phone Diet," where you photograph everything you eat. I was back on track Tuesday, along with a healthy dinner from a light cookbook.

Here's what I ate:

Tuesday, June 23 - Breakfast  Tuesday, June 23 - Lunch  Tuesday, June 23 - Apple  Tuesday, June 23 - Dinner  Tuesday, June 23 - Muffin with Peanut Butter and Fruit  Tuesday, June 23 - Coffee  Tuesday, June 23 - Snack
