Camera-Phone Diet - Wednesday, July 15

Until I reach my goal of losing 15 pounds (which will put me where I was on my wedding day), I'm doing something called the "Camera-Phone Diet," where you photograph everything you eat. On Wednesday the 15th, I spent a busy morning getting ready to leave town. The Gryphon and I ate dinner on the road, and the rest of my food came from a gift basket I received in my hotel at the Sheraton, as I made notes for my first full day at Otakon as a department head.

Camera-Phone Diet - Thursday, July 16

Until I reach my goal of losing 15 pounds (which will put me where I was on my wedding day), I'm doing something called the "Camera-Phone Diet," where you photograph everything you eat. On Thursday the 16th, running around to set up Press Operations for Otakon, I didn't have much time to think about food. I ate what was offered or available. I did, however, have a leisurely lunch with The Gryphon. My activity probably canceled out the extra calories.

Camera-Phone Diet - Friday, July 17

Until I reach my goal of losing 15 pounds (which will put me where I was on my wedding day), I'm doing something called the "Camera-Phone Diet," where you photograph everything you eat. On Friday the 17th, I did a lot of walking at Otakon, running to various press events. No idea how far I walked, but I was on my feet from 7:30 a.m. until about 10 p.m. I ate mostly food provided for the staff but had sushi for dinner.

Camera-Phone Diet - Saturday, July 18

Until I reach my goal of losing 15 pounds (which will put me where I was on my wedding day), I'm doing something called the "Camera-Phone Diet," where you photograph everything you eat. On Saturday the 18th, I was literally running from about 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. and was up until 3. This was also probably my worst day in terms of calories, in part because of the chips I had with both lunch and dinner but also because of some nighttime indulgences.

Camera-Phone Diet - Sunday, July 19

Until I reach my goal of losing 15 pounds (which will put me where I was on my wedding day), I'm doing something called the "Camera-Phone Diet," where you photograph everything you eat. Sunday the 19th was the final day of Otakon, and I ate all food provided for staff. The dinner was actually quite good, but I was bad during the Dead Dog party and even forgot to take photographs after a certain point! What happens at Dead Dog stays at Dead Dog.

Camera-Phone Diet - Monday, July 20

Until I reach my goal of losing 15 pounds (which will put me where I was on my wedding day), I'm doing something called the "Camera-Phone Diet," where you photograph everything you eat. Monday the 20th was our final morning in Baltimore. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant, lunch at M&S Grill in the Inner Harbor, and dinner at Charlie Brown's Steakhouse, back home. Despite all the indulgence at Otakon, I weighed EXACTLY the same thing on Wednesday (my weigh-in day) as I had the week before!

Tuesday, I was finally back to something resembling normal. For dinner, I had leftover meatloaf from the restaurant the night before.

Yay, I'm caught up!

Saturday, we ate breakfast and lunch at home. Then, to celebrate. The Gryphon's birthday, we went to a restaurant in the Italian Market neighborhood of Philly, called Gnocchi. I got gnocchi, of course,
