We got a record-setting amount of snowfall in Philadelphia, about 20 inches. Here are some pics I took around town with my doggie on Sunday.
Una is in awe of the very large snow bank: at least two dogs high.
Just what you wanted for the holidays: snow!
These decorative gifts, a lawn decoration, are piled high with the white stuff.
In this advent scene, piled deep with snow,
it looks like Joseph and Mary are trying to find the Christ child.
My car, Moondancer, covered in several inches of snow
A street still covered in snow. Fortunately, ours is clear.
Una gazes across an expanse of snow,
trying to decide where we can explore next.
Una sports some snow on her nose.
A snow drift, formed by plowed snow covered by drifting powder
In this display in front of a church, Santa looks dismayed that his sleigh
is now full of snow, while Blitzen hides his head in the white stuff.
A Christmas decoration of a Ferris wheel
with stuffed animal passengers
now sports several inches of snow.
A bear with a lap full of snow rides the Ferris wheel.
This Santa, made of wire, seems to have had a run-in with a snowblower.
Ice creates its own trellis by running down a house with siding.
Frosty the Snowman's magic hat is now covered with snow.
Moral:
A white Christmas can make the lawn decorations look silly.
