Opportunity for Writers

Brian Klems on WritersDigest.com is asking for comments about his blog on defining writing success. If he gets 50 comments, one of the commenters will be invited to write a guest blog for him. Could be a great opportunity, since he has thousands of readers. I wrote a comment, so if you're not interested in writing your own, scroll down and see mine, at least.

Here's the link: What Defines Writing Success

ETA: My comment is under "shantipoet," which is my online alter ego.

What a good idea -- there are some great responses. I wrote one but I'm yet to post it because Wordpress is doing that thing it does.

You mean where it doesn't let you log in to post comments? I've been having that problem with milk_and_glass's nanny blog, so I've been logging in through Facebook instead.

As I remember, for the Writers Digest site, you have to sign up for a free membership to their site. I'm "shantipoet" there, which is my online handle when I'm not using my real name.

I finally got through -- I'd signed up, but it insisted I was posting comments too quickly, when I'd not posted any at all (it told me that the first attempt I made, so I knew it was just being stupid!).

Ah, now I can read your comment! I thought perhaps I was just missing it, because I was looking for alycewilson :)

It told me the same thing! I was really frustrated, because I'd typed something really long and hadn't made any copies of it. Fortunately, when I hit "back" in the browser, my comment was still in the window and I could hit "submit" again.

M posts sometimes on a Wordpress blog where the other commenters frequently preface their posts with 'FUWP' because of things like this :)

It certainly is frustrating!
