I based today's poem on the prompt from NaPoWriMo.net, which was to borrow a first line from another poem and use it as your first line.
There's a certain Slant of light --
slashing through silver branches -- that shreds
the vestiges of Winter. A hubbub of robins
hails the blanched blossoms popping
from earth. A day to toss aside
hats, fling open coats and greet
the strengthening sun. A day of buds
and birdsong. A day of beginnings.
