I just subscribed to your blog so I'll be following you! Is there somewhere I can read your poem for the Wergle Flump contest, because it's a very intriguing name for a contest and I'd love to see what you've written for it.

Sure, I'll send it to you via private message. I submitted a poem I wrote as part of NaPoWriMo earlier this year, which is a take off on a Sam Spade type detective story. Looking at their other winners over the years, they seem to like longer, narrative poems that involve some sort of an interesting literary allusion or other creative approach. I figured that was the best thing I had that I could submit.

Thanks for subscribing! I'll be posting at least every couple of days with this project, more often if I can.

So cool! I'm polishing work this month and doing submissions every day in October!

Good for you! I wish you luck.

I deliberately called mine "30 Queries in 30 Days" rather than setting the terms as "one a day" because I know I'll have days when I need to spend my time writing or revising. However, I can make up for that by sending two the next day. :)

Ooh, I like that strategy!

Feel free to borrow it. It's what I do during NaPoWriMo; otherwise, I'd never get 30 poems done in one month!
