David Cook served as mentor for Eighties Week. Did he bring out their best? (Side note: I am soooo tired last night. My son was tossing and turning, waking me up every two hours. It was like baby boot camp all over again.)

I really liked Caleb and Jena, both solo and duet. Alex' take on Every Breath You Take was interesting, but I'm not sure if it worked for me.

Keith's (?) comment about CJ having a survivor's voice helped explain why he keeps getting through, but his pitch has always been too bad for me to hear it.

Harry's comment about Dexter's performance buying him a week had me trying to remember what he did and failing.

I think you've right about the bottom three, though I'm wondering whether CJ's "survivor's voice" will save him again. I think Sam could be in danger again if so.

You were half right! Sam is safe and probably will be for another week, based on past history with the saves.

PS Forgot to say sorry to hear about your sleepless night - those suck! I hope you and KFP both sleep better tonight.

Yes, and I ended up falling asleep and missing half of the results show! Thank goodness for the DVR. I'm not really surprised that Malaya was the one to go: I do think there's something about C.J. that people really like. I still think he ought to stick to being a blues musician, where exact pitch isn't always as important as emotion and connection.
